TYLER TEXAS, C.S.A
William A. Albaugh IIIHarrisburg: The Stackpole Co., 1958. ,235pp. Map. Plates. Appendix. Bibliography. First edition. Very good+ copy. The dust jacket shows some darkening of the spine and back panel, else very good. Using the original “Day Book,” the author gives the day-by-day history of the Confederate States Ordinance Works at Tyler from 1861 to 1865. The most interesting part of the book is the miscellaneous correspondence between the various officers which give insight into the problems, large and small, of arming the Confederate troops.
