Limited facsimile reprint of the 1939 original, for the centennial celebration of the first Texas oil well. SIGNED. Very slight wear to the spine ends, overall, a very good copy. Jenkins, BTB 211: “The most extensive and detailed statistical treatment of the oil industry in Texas, …was written by a prominent petroleum engineer and geologist who had worked in the oil industry in Texas since 1917…The general history in the first section is scholarly and remains the best summary on the subject.” Ernest O. Thompson: “It is high time that we had a dependable text on Texas oil and gas. C. A.
