Long out of print, the authors have prepared an updated version which corrects errors in the original work and gives additional information. Superbly photographed, each piece is accompanied by detailed descriptions of the piece’s maker, date, materials, measurements, history, and owner as well as an analysis of by the authors. Introductory chapters provide an overview of nineteenth-century Texas and a brief history of the development and decline of Texas cabinet making. Taken together, these volumes are the definitive work on Texas furniture.
