GEORGE W. LITTLEFIELD TEXAN.
J. Evetts Haley
Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1943. xiv,287pp. Index. Notes. Illustrations by Harold Bugbee. Cloth. First edition. Cut SIGNATURE laid-in. Slight darkening to the spine, else very good. The dust jacket exhibits minor edgewear and crinkling to the top of the back panel, overall good+. Adams, Herd 964: “The biography of an important early-day Texas cattleman.” Littlefield had ranches in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Mr. Haley tells the story of Littlefield as a cattleman, banker, and philanthropist. Somewhat overlooked in comparison to his other books, it is just as good.
