Fine copy in an equally nice dust jacket. The author chronicles the development of Colt handguns from the first Paterson revolvers to the cartridge models of the 1870s (and everything in between). There is also information on Samuel Colt and his invention process. Particularly spectacular is the chapter entitled "The Gun as Art” which presents a series of beautifully engraved and embellished firearms. The book is enhanced by the author’s many excellent color images.
