First edition. Externally, the book is bright and fine (no dust jacket issued). Internally there is a small (approx. 1/8” x 3/4”) missing at the top of the front pastedown near the gutter, else fine. This book is result of four years of research, data gathering, analysis and compilation on both the bayonets produced by Remington as well as bayonets produced for Remington Arms. The author examines the types of bayonets (socket, saber, etc.), markings, types of scabbards, etc. There is also a brief sketch of the history of the Remington Arms Company with information on their rolling block and bolt action rifles. This is one of a very few books written on the subject.
