Houston: Anson Jones Press, 1943. 10,[1]pp. Stiff wrappers, large folio (approx. 14” x 8 ¾”), ribbon tied. First edition, limited edition of 350 copies. SIGNED. With the small book plate of Edward Clark who founded the law firm of Clark, Thomas & Winters and served as ambassador to Australia from 1965 to 1968. There is a small area of light speckling at the top of the front wrapper and an insignificant ( ¼” x 1 1/8” ) library ink stamp at the bottom of one of the interior pages, no other markings are present. Otherwise, it is bright, fine copy. Housed in a heavy stock clam shell case. Issued on the occasion of the publication of Wiltz’s book, The Signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence, it is an exact facsimile of the original. An unusually attractive copy with a nice association.
