Ouida Ferguson. Nalle

San Antonio: Naylor Press, 1946. xv,272pp. Index. Photographs. Foldout genealogical chart tipped in. Red cloth with title in silver on the cover and spine. First edition. Externally, light general wear with crinkling to the cloth along the spine and at the spine ends. Internally, the pages show slight toning and small tear at the gutter of the front pastedown. The dust jacket shows moderate chipping, creasing and soil. Overall, a good copy in a fair dust jacket (additional scans upon request). Written by the older daughter of James and Miriam “Ma” Ferguson, it is an account of the Fergusons’ life and political activities told from her unique vantage point. The author begins with the family’s genealogical history and progresses through her parents’ early childhood, political successes and challenges, and on into the post political years.
